Nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, this park includes 40-acre Lake Bennett, peaceful waters for fishing and floating, and swimming at the park's swim beach. Anglers will need to bring bait and fishing supplies. A launch ramp is located on Lake Bennett. The park offers also offers canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, fishing boats and motors for rent. A snack bar and bathhouse with hot showers are located near the swimming beach. Park facilities also include 30 Class AAA campsites [NOTE: These 30 sites will reopen in late-summer 2010 following campground renovation] and 10 Tent sites without hookups. Woolly Hollow also offers a picnic area, standard pavilion, gift shop, and hiking trail. The Woolly Cabin, the log home of the area's first settlers, offers visitors a historic perspective of the park.

History of the Area
Located in Arkansas, this park was established in 1973. It covers an area of over 370 acres and includes Lake Bennett.

The land originally belonged to the Woolly family who settled there during the late nineteenth century. They built a log cabin which still stands today as part of historical exhibits within the park.
Camping
1. Woolly Hollow State Park offers 40 campsites with water and electric hookups.
2. All sites have tables, grills, and lantern poles.
3. There are modern bathhouses available for campers' convenience.
4. A dump station is provided for self:contained camping units.
5. The park also has a Rent:A-Camp option including tent, sleeping pads, chairs etc., perfect for beginners.


Swimming
Woolly Hollow State Park offers a designated swimming area in the clear waters of 40-acre Lake Bennett. No lifeguards on duty; swim at your own risk. Swimming is free with park admission, providing an affordable way to cool off during warm months. Beachside amenities include picnic areas and restrooms for convenience.
Fishing
Visitors can enjoy fishing in the 40-acre Lake Bennett, stocked with bass, bream, catfish and crappie. Fishing boats are available for rent; personal boats must have electric motors only. A valid Arkansas fishing license is required for anglers over 16 years old. Shoreline access offers additional spots to cast a line amidst scenic views.

Picnicking
Woolly Hollow State Park offers scenic picnic areas with tables and grills overlooking Lake Bennett. Pavilion rental is available.
Bicycling
Be mindful when cycling, as the terrain can be challenging. The park features a notable trail: Enders Fault Mountain Bike Trail. This path is approximately 9.4 miles long and offers various difficulty levels for riders to navigate cautiously.

Remember that conditions may vary; always check with local sources before planning your ride to ensure trails are open and safe.

Huckleberry Trail

Length: 3 1/2 miles Time: 2 1/2 hours Difficulty: Easy

Description: Beginning at the bathhouse in the campground and looping around Lake Bennett, the trail climbs the ridge, offering scenic views of the lake. Crossing the lake's earthen dam, the trail winds through a hardwood forest back to the main area of the park.
