Warrior's Path State Park was named for the park's proximity to the ancient war and trading path used by the Cherokee. Since that time, the park land has known a long history of travelers, and is still a pathway for modern-day outdoor enthusiasts. The 950-acre area was acquired from the Tennessee Valley Authority is 1952, to serve the people who live in or visit this section of Northeast Tennessee. It is situated on the shores of TVA's Patrick Henry Reservoir on the Holston River.
Camping
The park has 135 campsites, all with tables and grills, and 94 are equipped with water and electrical hookups. Modern bathhouses provide hot showers, commodes and lavatories. There is a dump station available for self-contained trailer rigs. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The camper check-in station is located a the campground entrance.

Warrior?s Path Golf Course is an 18-hole daily fee course located on the shores of Fort Patrick Henry Lake and the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This course is one of the most popular in the Tennessee State Parks system. The par 72 course was designed by George Cobb and opened for play in 1972. It measures 6601 from the Men?s Championship tees and 5204 from the lady?s tees. It is along rolling countryside and has a scenic view of the Lake from #5 tee. The Signature hole #14, a Par 3, 200 yards long. This course is a favorite of many golfers in the Tri-Cities area and also features a large practice facility complete with large teeing ground, practice green and practice bunker.

On Site Amenities: Driving Range, Practice Green, Practice Bunker, Pull Carts, Snack Bar. Lessons Available.

Tee Time Policy: Tee times required 7 days a week. Reservations can be made 6 days in advance.

Tournaments: We have the expertise and experience to customize your event. We have the staff to take care of all your golfing needs, as well as food and beverage. Call for our tournament outing packet.
Swimming
1. Warriors Path State Park offers a large outdoor swimming pool for visitors during the summer months.
2. The park's pool is equipped with lifeguards to ensure safety while you swim and relax.
3. Swimming lessons are available at this state park, suitable for both children and adults of all skill levels.
4. Pool passes can be purchased seasonally or daily depending on your visit frequency.
5. A kiddie pool area is also provided specifically designed for younger kids' enjoyment and safety in mind.

6. The main swimming facility includes diving boards, slides, lap lanes as well as shaded areas around it.

7. Picnic tables near the pools allow families to enjoy meals together after their fun-filled water activities.

8. Swimming events such as races are occasionally held by local clubs using the facilities within Warrior's Path State Park.

9. Private parties may rent out sections of the public swimming area upon reservation through parks management office.

10. While there aren't any natural bodies of water designated safe enough for open-water swims due its wildlife presence.
Boating
Pleasure boating and water skiing are very popular on Patrick Henry Reservoir. Boats available for rental at the marina include paddle boats, canoes, and fishing boats. Two public use ramps are located at the park marina. A small ramp for camper use only is in the campground. Boat launching ramps are free of charge. The marina has 54 uncovered slips available for rent. Also available at the marina is a service dock and fuel.

Fishing
Year-round lake fishing can be enjoyed at Warrior's Path. A valid Tennessee fishing license is required. Catches generally include crappie, bream, bass, trout and catfish.

Picnicking
Warrior's Path is one of the most popular picnic areas in the state. Thirty-seven picnic tables with grills are scattered along the park's lakeshore. The picnic tables are easily accessible to restrooms, water fountains, concession stands and playgrounds.

There are five picnic pavilions available to rent for large groups. Contact the park for more information on renting pavilions. Pavilions may be rented up to one year in advance.

Bicycling
For biking enthusiasts, a 12-mile mountain bike trail offers challenging terrain and beautiful scenery. Be prepared for steep climbs.

The park's paved roads are also open to cyclists but be cautious of traffic.

If you're new to cycling or prefer less strenuous rides, the gentle Lakeside Trail is an ideal choice.

Remember that helmets are required on all trails; safety should always come first when bicycling in this area.

Please note: some paths may close due to weather conditions so it's wise checking ahead before planning your ride.

Bike rentals aren't available within the park boundaries - bring your own gear if possible.
Trails
Nearly 12-miles of trails meander through park woodlands offering great views, a diversity of wildlife habitats, and a richness of typical East Tennessee forests, fields and wetlands. The paved walking path around Duck Island is fully accessible, and other fully accessible trails are in the planning stages. Several other trails are also under development and one that includes a small boardwalk through the Sinking Waters wetland area.
Birding
Birdwatchers can spot a variety of species including the Red-tailed Hawk, Eastern Bluebird and American Goldfinch. The park's diverse habitats attract migratory birds like warblers during springtime. Birding trails offer sightings of waterfowl such as Mallards in wetland areas. Winter brings opportunities to see Dark-eyed Juncos and White-throated Sparrows.
