A variety of natural habitats await the visitor to this park including the 327 acre Worster Lake, old fields, mature woodlands, restored prairies and diverse wetlands. Each of these offer their own unique opportunities for plant and wildlife observations.

The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. There is a 327-acre lake where motorized boats are allowed, but their speed must not exceed 10 mph. Paddleboats, canoes and rowboats rentals are available during the summer months at the main boat ramp near North Liberty. The use of personal watercrafts such as jet skis is prohibited in order to maintain peace and tranquility within the area.

Picnicking
Potato Creek State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters. Some are near playgrounds or the lake.
Bicycling
In Northern Indiana, there's a park offering several bicycling options. Be aware that some trails may be challenging.

The 3.2-mile Bicycle Trail is paved and relatively flat, suitable for beginners or casual riders. Keep an eye out for pedestrians sharing the path.

For more experienced cyclists seeking adventure, consider the Mountain Bike Trails - totaling over seven miles of off-road terrain with varying difficulty levels from moderate to difficult; helmets are recommended here due to rougher conditions.

Additionally available is a six-mile equestrian trail open also to bikers but remember horses have right-of-way so approach cautiously and pass slowly when safe.

Lastly, ensure you're prepared before setting out: check weather forecasts as paths can become slippery after rainfalls making cycling hazardous especially on unpaved routes.
Birding
Birdwatchers can enjoy over 200 bird species, including waterfowl and raptors. The park offers a Bird Observation Building for viewing. There are also numerous trails ideal for spotting birds in their natural habitats. Seasonal guided bird walks are available too.

Visitor Comments, Memories and Reviews
October 20 Pretty
park review stars; one to five Pretty park, but definitely loud. Lots of groups, music and drinking. Sites are very exposed so no real privacy. Definitely avoid weekends unless you like the noise.
