Webster State Park offers a prairie setting of rolling hills and spacious skies. The park occupies 880 acres contained in two tracts on the shores of Webster Reservoir.

Campers can choose from 72 utility campsites and more than 100 primitive campsites. Besides boating and fishing, campers at Webster choose from recreational opportunities provided by swimming beaches, a sand volleyball court, horse shoe pits, playgrounds, and a hiking trail. The newest addition to Webster's attractions is a two bedroom cabin that accommodates six people.Five boat ramp lanes and three courtesy docks offer boaters ample launching facilities. Pleasure boating, fishing water skiing, and windsurfing are popular activities at Webster. Primary sportfish include walleye, wipers, largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish and flathead catfish. The park offers floating fishing docks, and there is an easily-accessible fishing pier at the nearby stilling basin.

The 5,750-acre Webster Wildlife Area is home to white-tailed and mule deer, pheasants, quail, waterfowl, wild turkey, squirrels and numerous songbirds.
Swimming
1. Webster State Park offers a designated swimming beach on the shores of Webster Reservoir.
2. Lifeguards are not provided, so swim at your own risk.
3. Swimming is prohibited in boat ramp areas and marinas for safety reasons.
4. The park does not offer indoor or pool-based swimming facilities; only open water options exist here.
5. Visitors can enjoy picnicking near the sandy beach after their swim as picnic tables are available nearby.
6. The lake's clear waters make it ideal for cooling off during hot summer days.

Boating
The park offers a wide range of boating options for visitors. There are two boat ramps available, one located in the east and another on the west side of its reservoir. The 3,700-acre lake is open to all kinds of watercraft including power boats, sailboats and personal watercrafts like jet skis. Anglers can enjoy fishing from their boats as well with species such as walleye, crappie and white bass found within this body of water.

Picnicking
Webster State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables and grills. Shelters are available for rent, perfect for large gatherings.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can explore the 880-acre park on two wheels. Be aware, there are no designated biking trails here.

The terrain is mostly grassland and woodland which could be challenging for novice bikers.

Cyclists should exercise caution when sharing roads with vehicles or pedestrians within this area.

Helmets and safety gear are strongly recommended due to uneven surfaces in some areas of the park.

Remember that wildlife encounters may occur while cycling; stay alert at all times.

Riding after dark isn't advised as lighting throughout the grounds is limited, posing potential hazards.
Birding
Birdwatchers can enjoy spotting various species, including waterfowl and shorebirds. The park's reservoir attracts migrating birds in spring and fall.
