The park is known for its three distinct peaks. It was established as a state property in 1926. The area's natural beauty and diverse wildlife attract many visitors annually.
The name "Trimountain" refers to the site's unique topography of having three prominent hills within its boundaries - West Peak, East Peak, and South Mountain.
In World War II it served as an observation post due to strategic location offering panoramic views over surrounding areas.
Over time facilities were added including picnic spots and hiking trails making it popular among outdoor enthusiasts.
Today it remains under management by Department of Energy & Environmental Protection ensuring preservation for future generations.
