Located at the extreme tip of West Virginia's norther panhandle, Tomlinson Run provides a wide range of recreational opportunities to a large number of local and out-of-state visitors.

The park's 1,398 acres extend along the stream from which it gets its name, both of which are named for a family of early settlers, to within a mile of the stream's confluence with the Ohio River.

Roughly divided into two sections, the park offers a wilderness area of heavily forested hills, overhanging cliffs of sandstone and shale, and a profusion of wildflowers and fauna. Featured within the developed areas of the park are picnicking, boating, miniature golf, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming, a campground and a group camp. In addition, program events are scheduled from April through October.

Visitor Comments, Memories and Reviews
June 7 A very nice old fashioned state park by Old fat camper
park review stars; one to five Best part is the people. Helpful, friendly down to Earth folks. Campsites are OK---nothing more. I have always wanted to give it a try since my name is Tomlinson.
September 8 Out of Town Guest by Leslie from Pa
park review stars; one to five My husband and I are from Pennsylvania, and we frequent the area attractions in West Vrginia, we always make a point to visit Tomlinson State Park. So much to do. We often enjoy Hiking, paddle boating, and miniature golf. The staff members are always pleasant. On the off season at the park, we relax at the picnic area and enjoy a meal. A relaxing place to visit.
September 21 Hidden Treasure by Bill Owings
park review stars; one to five I grew up in New Manchester and spent my youth in TRSP. Every time I visit my folks (still residents), I take some time to hike a trail or two and discover some of the things I may have overlooked as a kid. The park is always very clean and it allows for a great deal of solitude. I would give anything to have this beautiful place a few steps from my back door today.
