The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities, with several water trails available to explore the Patapsco River's scenic beauty. However, motorized boats aren't allowed in order to maintain peace and tranquility within the area. Boat rentals are not provided on-site; therefore, guests must bring their own equipment or rent from nearby facilities outside the park.

The Avalon area provides excellent opportunities for anglers to catch smallmouth bass and sunfish.

In the Daniels Area you can fish from shore or launch your own canoe or kayak into the river.
